Total of measure with filters

I have the following measure, which works as expected: FUNCTION = if(CALCULATE(sum(MASTER_DATA[A_REC_CURR]),ALL(SUBID_GID),ALL('Calendar'[Date]),MASTER_DATA[ACT]="ACTUAL")>0,1,0) This measure returns a 1 if there is a data in the given month. All days in the month are also given a '1'. What i want to do next is have another measure which sums up FUNCTION at the MONTH level within the current year, but everything I've tried so far has failed. Any pointers? I'm going screen blind! I've started with: SUMX(MASTER_DATA,[FUNCTION]) but I need it to work across all items, (which is why I have ALL(SUBID_GID) in the 1st measure, and it needs to return the sum for the year. For example, if there is data for 7 months on the year, I need it to return 7 in all time periods that might be selected within that year. Thanks!
