Total of Absolute measure is not returning Absolute sum of values

Hi guys,

Am stuck getting AbS function to give me the result am looking for.

I need the total for Exposure $ AbS to give me the Absolute sum of all the values in the column=

$1,011,908,128

CCYExposure $Exposure $ AbS
USD$408,960,847$408,960,847
AUD$79,943,739$79,943,739
CAD$71,285,559$71,285,559
CHF($33,703,177)$94,672,286
XAU($37,513,819)$37,513,819
JPY($64,185,207)$64,185,207
NZD($74,873,822)$11,258,328
GBP($137,427,513)$29,208,447
EUR($214,879,896)$214,879,896
Total($2,393,289)$2,393,289

I know this may be a little trick I have to add, but am not getting there...

Appreciate if anyone could help

Exposure $ AbS = ABS([Exposure $])

Exposure $ = CALCULATE(
    SUM('Open Trades'[Base USD])
     +
     CALCULATE(
         SUM('Open Trades'[Quote USD]),
         USERELATIONSHIP(CCY[CCY],'Open Trades'[Quote CCY])))

Hi @majdkaid22,

it is a common total level issue of measure, I'd like to suggest you take a look at following link:

Measure Totals, The Final Word

You can also try to use following measure if it works for your requirement:

Measure =
VAR list =
    VALUES ( CCY[CCY] )
VAR summary =
    SUMMARIZE (
        ALLSELECTED ( CCY ),
        CCY[CCY],
        "Exposure $ abs"ABS ( [Exposure $] )
    )
RETURN
SUMX ( FILTER ( summary, [CCY] IN list ), [Exposure $ abs] )

@v-shex-msft Your formula did the trick. Now, I need to understand how/why it worked!

Thanks for sharing the earlier post. quite helpful!
