Total Column by category

In the Power BI matrix.  I have two sum counts for categories (Category 1 Totals & Category 2 Totals).  Since I have the grand total for rows "ON", the total for each category is placed at the end of two sections.

I need the Total Rowtotal for each category at end of each section.  So, the values in the box next to the Category 1Total.

The rows section is by calendar[MonthYear]

THis is what I currently have:

RowTotal Total =CALCULATE(

    [Total Count],

        ALLSELECTED(Projects[Location Description])

Hi @NeedHelp755

Based on your needs, I have created the following table.

vjialongymsft_0-1725342856568.png

You only need to make simple changes to the structure of your matrix to see the individual totals for each category and the totals for all categories according to your needs.

Result:

If the above methods do not solve your problem, please provide sample data that fully covers your issue and the expected outcome based on the sample data you provided.

DAX For Humans

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

@Greg_Deckler I'm fairly new to using DAX and I wouldn't know how to apply that to my situation.
