Anonymous , You can use TOPN Function on measure and plot it with items
example
Top1 total= CALCULATE([Total],TOPN(10,allselected(Table[Item]),[Total] ,DESC),VALUES(Table[Item]))
If the values are duplicate then you can try rank tie breaker

I think there are two ways to do this, one you can try amitchandak's suggestion, use the topn function to determine if it's the top ten. Second, you can use scope to filter. That is, first calculate the range of the top ten, get the starting value, and then filter.
