Time Intelligent, Real Time Dynamic Dashboards

Hi All,

         I am fairly new to PowerBI and DAX'ing as well, but tasked with what seems like a colossal target for me (I'm a civil engineer by profession, don't know how I ended up here! I love it though!)

         I am aiming to create a dashboard which is relative, i.e. if I select a date from a filter (eg. W/E 14/06/19) the graph should display the data from that week in addition to data from the previous week (i.e. 07/06/19) for comparison purposes. I will need to extend this to quarter and years as well.

         This will be in addition to multiple exisiting filters of region, country and contract name. Is this possible in PowerBI. I am not sure but I trust Microsoft! I have attached a snapshot of what I want below, if that helps.

What data would you like to calculate for the current date and last data? It is something like YTD and last year YTD in DAX below?

Revenue YTD = TOTALYTD(SUM('Ordertable'[Value]),'Date'[DateKey])

Revenue YTD Last Year = CALCULATE(SUM(Ordertable[Value]),SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR('Date'[DateKey]))

could you please share your sample data or desired output screenshots for further analysis? You can also upload sample pbix to OneDrive and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.
