Thousand separator performance

I heard some rumours about that if you apply thousand separator on your columns/measures then it will kill the performance, is that true?

Adjusting the data style will not have much impact on the performance of the report. What we need to check more should be model schema and dax query performance .

At least I haven't seen any tutorials or videos on how thousand separators affect report performance‌‌😕.
