Theoretical question about Power Automate
I am building a daily report which captures figures at a snapshot in time. The next day the numbers change.
Some of the data sources will not capture historical data e.g. Microsoft Exchange email count.
To capture the snapshot figures each day to be used for chronological reporting; could I use power automate to save the data into an excel or sharepoint list or similar before the Power BI dataset refreshes?
Never used Power Automate before so not sure on the capabilities...

Hi Anonymous
I don't think you can do this with Power Automate, there's no way to capture the screen output or fields in the dataset.
However, take a look at Power BI Goals. This can be used to take a regular snapshot of figures on a Power BI report and creates a scorecard based on the Report Metric. The best bit is that Goals saves this data in a Power BI Dataset, which can then be reported on with the usual Power BI reporting tools.

Hope this helps
