The managed provider 'Oracle.DataAccess.Client' could not be instantiated Error
Hi All,
I have a report on Power BI Service that is working fine. I downloaded a copy to make some changes and republish. Here comes the strange part , i can edit query and refresh it w/o issues. The Query is connecting to Oracel data base. When i come to the report i see a message cant dispaly the visuals. when i click on the details i get the attached message.
So far i have tried all the suggestions from this link (https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Retrieving-Data-Problem-With-Direct-Query-From-Oracle-Database/td-p/1492681) like adding ODP.net to the system variable. Still no luck. Please advice.

Anonymous , power bi service report might be working because of on premise gateway( or direct cloud connector). And seems like that is not on your machine
Please install oracle driver.

Thanks amitchandak i went through the link and not sure what the user was doing , i have downloaded and extracted the zip files as per the link , when he says run setup.exe not sure which setup.exe he is referring to ? Is it the Oracle Installer?

You could removed everything relating to Oracle and reinstalled.
