Text filter visual alternatives for replacement
What is the best alternative to replace the custom Text Filter visual (downloaded on the market)?
I can now see a warning that I need to replace this visual, however there is not shown an alternative.
Another thing: It is really a pitty that the search option in the slicer visual is not working for numbers, it works only for text.
Thanks!
Anonymous definitely understand. I was as surprised as anyone to be honest. I believe Microsoft are aiming to enhance capabilities without the need of maintaining things that are part of their new enhancements. Kind of duplication of effort for the same 'theoretical' outcome. In saying that, there are some pretty good ways of modifying the look and feel of the Slicer visual so hopefully you can modify it to look somewhat close to the Text Filter itself.
There are third party text filters however they may cost funds and / or not achieve the same results that you were getting from the MS version.
Best of luck either way, mate!

Hi Anonymous
The Search option on the slicer for text data works really well as it ignores spaces and upper / lower case text. This is the new replacement of the Text Filter visual. Just click the search option in the top right corner of the Slicer visual and select search.
Hope it helps 😉

Thanks, if this is the only option I guess I have to use the slicer with the search option. I would like to have a visual that looks like the current Text Filter visual though, why is it not supported any more anyway?
