Text Filter visualisation

Hi,

I would like to catch the input of the custom text filter visualisation and send it to a report as a filter in the URL.

Is that possible? Sending the filter in the URL I already do, cathing the value is eluding me.

If there is only one hit from the text search, this measure catches it:

IF(HASONEFILTER('LINKS'[STARTNAME]),FILTERS('LINKS'[STARTNAME]),"000000")
but if there are multiple hits, it will show the default value of "000000".
Any thoughts welcome!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Try a measure like this

Values Measure = if(isfiltered('LINKS'[STARTNAME]),CONCATENATEX(ALLSELECTED(('LINKS'[STARTNAME]),('LINKS'[STARTNAME]),","),BLANK())

This will give a comma separated values selected in the slicer

Please accept this as a solution if your question has been answered !!

Appreciate a Kudos 😀

Hi, thanks for that, unfortunately "Text Filter"is not a slicer, but a custom visualisation performing a CONTAINS on a given column in a given table.

Very useful, but ALLSELECTED does not work on it. Not on this: (but I may have a syntax error here)

Values Measure = if ( isfiltered('LINKS'[STARTNAME])
, CONCATENATEX ( ALLSELECTED ('LINKS'[STARTNAME]) , "," )
, BLANK ()
)
