I have two separate tables in PowerBI (CSV and Excel docs). They have a lot of the same variables, but one is for Client X and the other is for Client Y.
The goal is to compare Client X and Client Y on one graphic (even though they are fed from two different tables).
For example, if I want to show the number of registered users based on the time of day they registered....both tables have a column called "Time of Day" with the following variables, "Morning" "Afternoon" "Evening".
How can get the bars from both tables to graph on ONE graph with the same X-Axis?
Can I connect all the variables together somehow?
Any advice would appreciated.

One possible way would be to create a Client table that ingests from both sources and appends them together and remove duplicates. Then you could relate that table to your two other tables and use the common table as you axis. Sample data and a visual of what you are tryping to produce would help if this is not a sufficient answer. Always easier to recreate and be specific about a problem with good sample data and sample desired output.
Unfortunately, combining the data sources is not an option, there are just too many sources/differences between source in the setup.
But, what I'm trying to do is combine two graphs together.
So the black graph is Client X. The green graph is Client Y. They have the same x-axis (day of week). But, when I combine them, Client Y is incorrect because it's not registering the Day of Week from the first table (Client X).
Does that make sense?
I have this problem with multiple variables, Day of Week, Time of Day, Number of Investments, groupings of Age etc.
The variables are the same on both tables, but I want to tell PowerBI that they are the same and can therefore be on a shared axis....is this possible?
I'm not sure why you say combining the data sources isn't an option, surely you can just merge the queries with the relevant information that is the same for the purposes of making these charts and just ignore the rest of the stuff that is different?
The sources are all coming in from different databases...the time it would take to reformat everything and combine would be not worth it. Furthermore, it's too much data for one file, it becomes really slow and unusable.
