Sync button for zoom sliders

Hi All,

I have below charts in my report, and now I just thinking to have sync button for both this charts zoom sliders.

Problem statement:

At present I am not finding any way to do it in Power BI as zoom sliders are not that interactive with other plots.

Expected solution:

A botton with logic to sync the zoom sliders on 2nd chart when i make any change on the 1st chart.

Can I request you people to suggest any work around to achieve this.

Hi @RMaddigutla ,

To my knowledge there is no way for you to sinc the zoom between two different visuals.

Hi @RMaddigutla

Currently, Power BI does not natively support syncing zoom sliders between charts. However, there are a few workarounds you can consider:

  1. Use Slicers for Filtering: Instead of zoom sliders, you can use slicers to filter the data displayed in both charts. By syncing slicers, you can ensure that both charts display the same data range.

  2. Custom Visuals: Consider using custom visuals that might offer more interactive features, including synchronized zooming. You can explore the Power BI marketplace for visuals that might meet your needs.

  3. Bookmarks and Buttons: Use bookmarks and buttons to create a more interactive experience. While this won’t sync zoom sliders directly, you can create different views of your data and allow users to switch between them.

    • Create Bookmarks: Set up bookmarks for different zoom levels or data ranges.
    • Add Buttons: Add buttons to navigate between these bookmarks.
  4. Power BI Ideas: If these workarounds don’t fully meet your needs, consider submitting an idea or voting for existing ones on the Power BI Ideas forum. This helps the Power BI team understand user needs and prioritize new features.
