Sync Desktop report with Workspace

Hi everyone,

I tried to find the solution in the previous question, but without any reslut, so i'll explain my problem.

I created a report with Power Bi Desktop. In the last days, i decided to publish it in a workspace to share the work within my organization. The problem is that i'm not able to i keep "synchronized" the change made in PBI Desktop and the report/dashboard in my workspace. So i can update the dataset, but not the chnges made to the dashboard.

For example, i add a new worksheet with some visuals, to show new KPI. This new worksheet and visuals are present if i open the fine in PBI Desktop, but i don't know how to see these changese in the report/dashboard in the workspace.

Is there any solution to do it auomatically ore refreshing something? Or i have to overwrite the report/dashboard witha  new one?

I hope i have been clear in the description of the problem, otherwise please ask me the details you need.

Yes, that is correct.

No, i did not republished the report, since my expectation is to see the same changes automatically in the PBI desktop and workspace, otherwise I should publish the report every time I make changes, and I'd rather have something more automatic.

@Anonymous  For every change you make on your report on Power BI desktop, you need to republish the report on Power BI service. There is no automatic system for this.

Even if i use the on-permises data gatway? Is it only ueful to update the dataset, right?

@Anonymous  Have you tried republishing your report and see if its showing correctly now?

@Anonymous  Yes, gateway is only for dataset updation. Report needs to be published explicity by you.

@Anonymous  If I understood your issue correctly, your updated report is not reflecting in the workspace in Power BI service, correct ?

If yes, could you please tell me if you republished the report after you have made changes on the report on Power BI desktop?
