Hi everybody.
I have a pretty basic question that I can't find the answer for. I have 2 tables. Let's just say the layout is the following:
table 1- Item, Nickname
table 2- Item, Condition, Quantity
What I want is to show Nickname and Condition by Quantity. I'm not sure how to get to this point in Desktop. If I had Nickname in table 2 I could do it by dragging and dropping, but that isn't the case.
Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: This would be a drill-down column. I don't know if that makes a difference.
Do you have a relationship between Table 1 and Table 2 based on "Item" columns? If so, you can essentially treat them as one big table (more or less)
Yes, I do have a relationship between them. How would I treat them as a table? And would this support the drill down feature?
So for example let's say table 2 now has "Manufacturer" added to it. Could I drill down to Manufacturer, then Nickname/Condition?
Hi @Anonymous,
If the tables contain the relation, you can directly drag the columns which you need to a table visual to display them.

Xiaoxin Sheng
I'll keep trying to play around with this until I get it to work.
