Sum sales and return rank of selectedvalue

Hi,

I have a sales table that looks similar to this table:

image.png

How can I return the rank of the selected sales person (selectedvalue), after all sales amounts have been summed up based on the sales person, e.g. the rank for selectedvalue = 1  should be 1, selectedvalue = 3  should be 2 and selectedvalue = 2  should be 3

I have tried using the rank function, but I am struggling to add the amounts first.

Thanks for any hints!

@Anonymous read this for ranking and that will do it.

Interesting read, thanks for sharing. But how do I include the selectedvalue portion? I need this, because my table with the sales staff and my sales are not connected.

@Anonymous

Create 2 measures:

Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sheet1[Amount]), FILTER(Sheet1,Sheet1[Sales Person ]))
Rank Sales Person= RANKX(ALL(Sheet1),Sales)

you can then use "Rank Sales Person" in a Card and sales person as in a slicer

@Anonymous once it is ranked on all customers, then you can just slice by any customer and you will get a rank. You have to first rank it to get that going and then come to selectedvalue.
