Sum of column does not tally with the original sheet
I'm trying to create a bar chart for impression on instagram but the total tally number of impressions are not tally with the original sheet.
On my original sheet it showed the total sum of impression for NSEA territory on Jan alone was 8162, but on my power bi chart it displayed 8.8k. same thing for the subsequent months too
I also noticed that the row number on the power bi is not in proper order. not sure if it has anything do with the sum value not tallyed, is yes then how can i fix it? thanks!

Hello @fksng66 ,
make sure you're checking the same value in both your main and power bi and also apply the same filters.

@fksng66 ,
go to Data view and apply the filters then copy the impressions column to excel and sum it.
if it's like your source then there's some filters or relationships applied wrong.
if it's not equal to your source then check if there's anything in Power query that's messing your numbers or check the data source.

i tried to filter it on data view like you told, it matches the sum value from original source sheet and it was able to show the correct value
sum value from original source sheet
but once i removed the filter on data view and it's back to original. i can't really figure out what went wrong.

Hey @fksng66 ,
first there is no such thing as a sequence of rows inside the vertipaq engine. This means that a field called does not affect the results if the numbers are not ordered properly in the table.
But without having the data it's difficult to provide guidance where to look to explain the difference. Consider sharing the pbix.
Make sure that the chart called "instagram" really shows what you are expecting.
Regards,
Tom
