String/Text search for keywords in multiple columns

Hello

I have linked two datasources where I need to compare address fields for a match.

I'm having trouble comparing the address columns for a match as the string in each column is not a direct match.

An example of what I'm trying to achive is in the table below. Column A and B have the address fields, Column C would output if there is a match or not. I've been playing around with Conditional Columns and searching for "text.contains", but I can't figure out how to do this, or if this is the best way to achive the outcome.

My thinking is for the first row, search for text "Plum" in Column A and Column B, and then output to Column C if there is a Match.

Any help or pointers would be appreciated. It's probably a simple solution but I haven't been able to figure it out!

Column AColumn BColumn C
Plum St123, Plum Steet, Some CityMatch
Cherry Ln478, Cherry Lane, Some CityMatch
Stuart Ave1, Stuart Avenue, Some CityMatch
Cherry Ln123, Plum Steet, Some CityNo Match
  • This could be a starting point:

I've highlighted the problem area: "Ln" doesn't match with "Lane" so you have to decide how to deal with this: Either create a list of abbreviations that will be deleted in ColumnA before the match, cut off the last word from ColumnA or other strategies.
