Hi,
I am working with a big dataset and with a lot of different table and steps in my power query editor such as when i want to add or modify a step i need to wait everytime that query editor refresh to the visualization to the current step before i can do any modification, and it can be Very Long !
Is there a way to stop this refresh ?
Thanks
GG

Ah, like that.
Well normally for every step, PowerQuery uses 1000 random values in your table.
On the bottom left, you'll see "Column profiling based on..." . This could either be 1000 or your complete set.
Also if you use alot of steps as "filtering", replacing values,... Your query will indeed be slow.
Try altering whatever possible before brining it to PowerQuery.

Hi,
When you do modifications in PowerQuery, you close and apply, PowerBI wil only load the tables you altered.
I imagine if you did changes, you want to also see the changes in your dataset?
So obviously if you want those changes to show up, you'll have to wait, otherwise you just close PowerQuery and dont apply.

Hi @RobbeVL ,
thanks for your answer but i was not talking about seeing change after closing the query editor i was meaning when i want to go modify a step in power query editor i need to wait that the query editor load the preview before modifying the steps which can be long..
