There is an Idea. Very old one. Since 2014...!!!

Maybe because it is old - no one is looking at it?

This feature is so useful for building AWESOME reports.

This is one of Stephen Few's best practicies.

And Tableau has it 😞

The idea is that a sparkline will be a part of the TABLE/Matrix visual.

The custom visual in the link you've provided is nice but it is not a table, just sparklines...
