Sorting visual by date not by Value

HI,

I am having a date table having relationship with all other tables. Date table is sorted on year-month column (As whole number).

When i use this date table (month year column) alone in visual table it shows correct sorting by year month  but when i use it as a drag & drop in some other visual like matrix where I have other data values, sorting option on visual (clicking 3 dots on visual) gives sorting for values only and not for date.

Because of this my values is sorted as Feb Mar & Jan , not Jan Feb Mar or Mar Feb Jan.

I am not understanding whats the issue .

Dat atble already sorted by year month with whole number
