Sorting the column
I am not able to sort the column and save it. In the power query, the sorting is done correctly but in table view the sorting disappears and when restarting again back to normal. No sorting works. Please help
Sorting in powerquery does not follow through into power BI.
You can apply custom sort orders to columns within Power BI which will be reflected in visuals
Hi hiren_1222 It's because Power Query transforms the data but does not control visual sorting in Power BI. To address this:
Index Column in Power Query: Add an index column in Power Query to preserve the desired order. Then, in Power BI, sort your column by this index.
Custom Sort in Power BI: For specific orders like months or categories, use "Sort by Column" in Power BI and select the appropriate column for sorting.
