Sorting Year - X Axis

I am not sure if I am posting in the correct area but I have a SharePoint list that I am visualizing.  Very simple list just has two columns a Year and a dollar value. Not sure what I did but the Year order is not correct.  For the life of me I cannot figure out how to resort this so that the Years are in the correct order.  Can someone please give a kind nudge in the right direct?  I apologize but more recently I have been playing with Tableau and it has been a while since I got into PowerBI.  I hope to get there soon 🙂

This is created through SharePoint list through the "visualize this list option".  We do not have a PowerBI license this is just a free way of visualizing the data through SharePoint. The Year is a Title colulmn so I suspect this is why it is not a whole number it is just text and I cannot seem to sort it.  I could have sworn that I have seen the sort option before but I just cannot remmeber how I got there.  Any other suggestions?

Based on the picture you have provided, your data type of "Year" field is not  Whole number, the whole number type will have a summation flag before the field.

You need to change the "Year" data type to Number first

Then the visual then automatically sorts the years in increasing order

Hi @WiesHerd 

When your visual is selected, in the top right corner you should see "..." (More options).  You should then see "Sort Axis".

Note that if [Year] is a whole number, you may need to convert it to text.
