When using the "Sort by Column", if there are different sort ordering for a member with the same name but for different parents then you get the error that you cannot do this as you cannot have more than one value for the same value on a column. Where we need this is if the same child is used on different parents and especially in a hierarchy. So possibly the hierarchy should allow for setting ordering where the ordering is dependent on the higher level.
Does anyone have any ideas.
There is a long winded way around this but not ideal. The multidimensional model allows for this scenario but not Tabular.
@OlapOffice , the column and sort column need to have the same granularity. like month year need sort column also at month year level
