Hello all
I wonder if anybody had any issues with Sort by Column in Field Parametres?
I have created Field Parametres, and then manually changed the field orders like always I did, then I realized the columns are not sorted correctly. Then when I select the auto generated Order column as my sort order I get the following error.
Version: 2.136.1478.0 64-bit (September 2024)

Hi @Anonymous
I'm using the same version, and just yesterday I created a new report with field parameters and a different sort order than the default—sorting works perfectly.
However, you cannot sort it the same way you sort a regular table. When using field parameters, sorting is done automatically by the engine based on the numbering you assign to the values.
BUT it works
If it isn't working for you, make sure you've set up the parameters correctly. If you're still having trouble, feel free to share a link to your PBIX file (without sensitive data), and I'll try to take a look to see what might have been missed.

Hey Rita,
I get it now that we should not try to make changes to the way Field Parametres are sorted.
Thank you so much 🙂

Happy to help 🙂
