Slicer to filter third table single direction

Hi everyone,

This is my dilemma 😞

I have three tables A, B, C

Table A is filtering B (single direction relation), and table C is filtering B as well (single direction)

I have a visual that is created with only data from table C, but I have a slicer for table A that is not affecting the visual.

If I change the connection between B and C to be bi-directional, it will work, but I want to avoid that.

So the question is, how can I use the slicer in A to filter B and then filter C without creating an extra slicer?

  • Create a new measure along the lines of:

    Filter Slicers =

    COUNTROWS(RELATEDTABLE (Table B))

now add this measure to the filter pane for each slicer and set the value to greater or equal to 1

Slicer A will now filter slicer C and viceversa
