Slicer showing partial data

Hi everyone,

I have a report with a Slicer(new) to ebanle manager to search an employee with its personal ID. The report is meant to track the training completed by team members. When I search for a person by the name, all information appears (training completion date, training title, training type) and then when I search by the ID, the tables that show different category of training don't show datas.

What am I missing? Can someone please help me?

Thank you!

Hi @Anonymous

Are the Name and SSIG in the same table?

If not I would check the relationship between the two tables.

The Dim table (1) can filter the Fact table (*) but not the other way around.

Also hover over your table visual and check the filter the slicer is applying.

Hi @SamWiseOwl

The name and SGID are in the same table. The filters applied to the slicers are the same. I don't understand why it still doesn't work..?

Have you checked the Interaction settings between your objects.

Format -> Edit Interactions

It is very odd to be sure!
If you enter nothing into the SGID slicer is the table empty or full?

I checked the interactions, there is nothing wrong I guess, there is also no difference between these two slicers regarding the interactions on the tables and model views.

I'm not sure I understood the meaning of the question.

When I don't enter anything in the SGID slicer, the SGID drop-down list always appears and the rest of the table is also empty because you have to enter an identifier to have the training that an employee has completed as well as the complation of training date.

When I search by name and press on the name in the other slicer (slicer name), all the information appears and the SGID slicer also applies the filters in place.
