Slicer selection not updating report

I have a large Power BI report that I am editing in Power BI desktop. I have a slicer where the user  can select the month. When the month is changed the numbers don't update immediately and I need to switch to one of the other pages and tab back again.

This is also happening when the report is loaded in the Power BI service.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a solution?

Hi @bidev22 ,

According to your description, this situation is weird. My guess is that the query is slow due to large data sources, which affects the interaction time. You may wish to use the Performance Analyzer function to view and record the performance of the report elements when interacting with users.

If there is still confusion, can you provide more effective information, such as connected data source, operation screenshot information, etc.

Henry

@bidev22 You need to give us more information about the different tables and the model. What are the relationship and also what column are you using inside the slicer.
