Hello, the slicer search works fine in Power BI Desktop, however, when publishing to the service, the search icon will disappear and the text will no longer show on the screen when typed. If you highlight the text you'll be able to see it. The text is there, and it will filter results, but it is not visible when typed. This happens with all filters across the report.

Hello again, after more digging I managed to find the root cause of the issue. We have a custom theme based on the docs.microsoft page for our own colors. In that theme we had #FFFFFF (white) set for the foreground element. Setting that element to black (#000000) fixed the issue in the service.
Somehow, the way the service interpreted the slicer visual must have changed recently, as this has worked in the past and continues to work in the desktop client with that theme set to white.
Thank you!

Thank you so much for your post - this was driving me crazy but is now fixed.
I have made a test but couldn't reproduce your issue. Then search box is visiable in power bi service as well.
