Slicer in one page to give opposite results in second page

Hi,

I am creating a dashboard where I show a list of materials that have been sold more than "X" times. The "X" is defined via a slicer (Greater than or equal to). This works perfectly, however, in this report, I want to make a button which leads to another page, where you get the materials that have been sold less than "X" times. I want these two pages to be synced, I do not want the users to have to use a new slicer. Any idea on how I can do this?

Example:
Table "Sales"

Material#Times sold
A5
B7
C3
D1

Report 1:
Slicer: "#Times sold" = greater than or equal to 5

Visual table:

Material#Times sold
A5
B7

Report 2:

No slicer (or automatically same selection)

Visual table:

Material#Times sold
C3
D1

Thanks

Hi @PBInewbee123
The steps you can follow to make the story dynamic are:
1. Add a numeric parameter to play with the number that you need to check more / less from it :

2. Create 2 measures of "times sold" based on this parameter

Less than parametr = CALCULATE(sum('Table'[#Times sold]), FILTER('Table','Table'[#Times sold]<=SELECTEDVALUE(Parameter[Parameter])))

more than parametr = CALCULATE(sum('Table'[#Times sold]), FILTER('Table','Table'[#Times sold]>=SELECTEDVALUE(Parameter[Parameter])))

3. Create a field parameter based on these 2 measures

4. Use this field parameter on your visual

Hi @PBInewbee123
You don't need to add a new report/ page for this goal.

You can add to your table a calculated column which will check if your item was sold more than 5 times.
Something like :

Ritaf1983_0-1691122516466.png

the formula is :

Times sold flag = if('Table'[#Times sold]>=5, "More than 5 times sold","Less than 5 times sold")
and then just use this column in the slicer :

Hi @Ritaf1983 ,

thanks for your reply, however, the "5" times sold is dynamic. So users can chose via a slicer if it is 1, 2 ,3, 4, 5, ... The table in the first page will indeed show the items which have sold "X" times or more, but I also want a seperate table with the items sold less than "X" times

hi @Ritaf1983 ,

thanks. Can you maybe share the dataset that you have used for this? My table does not seem to be affected by the parameter. Shows always the same result, if I chose More than or Less than. So I want to double check if I am missing some relationship somewhere.

Thanks!

Hi @PBInewbee123
I did it already 🙂

Just download the file that I linked in the previous answer.

hi @Ritaf1983

thanks, this works! except when I have another column in the table. I want for example also to see the current stock level of that material. So when I add that into the table, it will also show the materials with less than "X" movements, but the values are blank
