Slicer horizontal radio button

Hello community,

Actually I'm working on Migration project to Power BI, so I need to recreate the same layout and design as it was in the previous Solution (Microstrategy).

How can I create a horizontal radio Button slicer in Power BI? I can only create Vertical one. (The customer would like to see exactly the same design, so I can not replace the radio button with tile to get the horizontal layout).

    Hi PBI_Developer2

Migration from one system to another is rarely an apples-to-apples process, so it's important to set that expectation with stakeholders from the start. That said, you could also try using the button slicer with a horizontal layout.

    Hi PBI_Developer2,

The native slicer in Power BI does not support displaying a list-style slicer in a horizontal layout.

As a workaround, you can use a custom visual such as the Chiclet Slicer. This allows the values to be arranged horizontally, although they will behave as tiles rather than a traditional list.

For a cleaner look, you can:

    • Remove the visual title
    • Turn off tile borders
    • Adjust spacing and formatting

This helps achieve a layout where the values appear in a single horizontal row.

It will be displayed as shown below:

      Hello Rupa01,

Thank you but, No, I need to keep the Radio Button, because it is a Migration Project so the Customer needs to have the exact Layout in Power BI that he used to see in Microstrat, so I can not change with Tile or whatever. It should be exactly as the Screenshot I posted in my request.

  • This is available with the Button Slicer as long as you set up the Arrangement as Horizontal and enable 'Selection icon' in Layout.
