Slicer doesn't work on linechart
Hi,
I have some trouble with he slicer not working on my linechart.
As you can see in the first printscreen, the table shows all the orders of the company, with the amount in โฌ and the ordertype. In this situation the linechart is correct because it sums up all the orders that were sold per month.
However, as you can see in the second printscreen, whenever i select ordertype 60 (which is the specific ordertype i want to show in the linechart) the table does filter out all the other order types. But the linechart stays exactly the same.
What i would like to see is that the line chart sums up all the order amounts with order type 60 per month. So that the linechart shows the total amounts per month of order type 60
i have already tried a lot but can't seem te figure out why it keeps showing all order types.
I hope someone has any idea how to solve this๐
I've had a look at it and, as suspected, the ordType from TDossierMain cannot filter the TInvoiceMain table due to relationship direction and the complications of the model.

It's not a 5 minute job to tell you how to fix it. It looks like a fairly classic case of throwing all the data from sqlserver into powerbi, hooking up the tables and adding fields to visualisations hoping it will 'just work'.
However, it really needs a rethink on the model, remodelling it into Fact and Dimension tables in a star schema, working out the relationships and also removing most of the fields because there isn't any need for them in the visualisations. If you're just starting out, it's going to be a steep learning curve
Maybe you can run through a course like this:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/design-model-power-bi/ and, having learned some solid foundations start to remodel the data.

Also, please remove the pbix now because it looks like real data to me so should not be posted on a forum.
Good luck

We can't see your model so can't give an exact answer but it looks like ordtype doesn't filter the data you have in the line chart. So, re-evaluate your model: is Ordtype in a dimension table that filters the data in the fact table?
If you link a test pbix here, I will have a look for you.
I'm away from the forum for a few hours but I will check back later.

Hi HotChilli,
thanks for responding,
I hope this is what you meant by a test pbix. This is my first time working with power BI, so i don't know a lot yet๐
if you need some other link please let me know, how to do that and i'll post it asap.

That wasn't what I meant.
You will have to upload the pbix to a 3rd party site (onedrive, dropbox etc) and post a link here. No sensitive data please.
