Simulate incremental refresh in desktop

Hello !

I'm currently facing a disturbing issue :

One of my data sources, a web API provides queries which are suffering of a time limit : it only allows to retrieve the last 14 days.

So I need to store the data if I want to analyze a long period of time. In this objective I activated an incremental refresh which is working fine in the Service (only the last 2 days are refreshed so the previous ones are kept).

The problem is that if I want to bring some changes to the report, I go to the desktop and then when publishing it overwrite the data history with only the last 14 days...

Does anyone faced the same issue or knows a trick to avoid the loss of history ?

Hi @parry2k

This would be perfect but I forgot to mention that I don't have access to Premium capacity, I only have a Pro licence and this feature with ALM Toolkit seems to be reserved to Premium capacity.

Do you know an other way to do the trick without Premium ?

Thank you for the tip, I installed ALM Toolkit on my computer and now it's opened from PBI external tools I have no idea how to use it.

Could you please add a little bit more details concerning how to force Power BI to deploy only model changes ?
