Hi, I have a dashboard with two bar charts like this:
When I filter one of them, the other highlights the corresponding part (as expected). For example:
The problem I have is that I would like to show the percentage of each highlighted bar in the black box that appears when you move the mouse over it. By default, it shows only the absolut value of the higlighted part, and I would like to add the percentage value (in this case would be 158,488.85 / 1,278,160.22 * 100). Can anyone help me with that?
Thank you.
Agustí
Solved! Go to Solution.
So, you should be able to create measures along the lines of:
% Selected = DIVIDE(CALCULATE(<something>,FILTER(ALLSELECTED(Table))),CALCULATE(<something>,FILTER(ALL(Table))))
For example. Then you should be able to place those measures in your tooltip page. Then when you hover over your bar chart, it should show you the information that you desire.
Hi,
I wanted to know how you solved the showing percentage thing.
Thanks,
Harsha

What if I have already selected time period and would like to calculate the propotion within the time period?
Check out the March version that includes the new Tooltips pages feature. It is SPECTACULAR!!! and I think can get you where you need to be because it essentially gives you complete control over the tooltip.

Okay thank you! I see it's an amazing update. I will definetly use it.
But still I haven't figured out how to show the value I need. I would like to show the total value of the bar, the highlighted part (these two are already shown by default) and the percentage of the highlighted part over the total value (that's the new measure I want to show).
Any ideas?
Thank you.
