Show slicer only with the months that have data

Hi everyone,

Is that a way that I can show a slicer with only the months that have data? I mean now my model has only data from october and november, so the slicer have only october and november in the next month will have october, november and december. The idea is show a slicer with only the months that user can choose (that has data).

@marijane , From you fact table(on which you want it to be dependent ) take a measure and check for is not blank in the visual level filter.

example countrows(Table) is not blank

If you create a slicer using the date field you can change it to hierarchy and select months. If that includes months where there is no data try and add a filter on the slicer i.e. if you had a sales amount figure you could add where sales amount <> 0
