Show measure in matrix only in Grand Total

I'm looking for a way to have a measure only appear in the grand total of a matrix rather than per column. 

I know I saw a post from Greg that tried to tackle this but I have lost the link and cannot find it.

I also know about the HasOneValue trick and changing the font color and adjusting the size of the column to effectively hide the column, but I'm looking for a different solution. That solution doesn't work for me as a new column pops up for each new month and I have to continuously manually adjust the column to hide it.

What was the outcome of searching on @Greg Deckler's posts and such?  You may have to do a bit of looking in different sources though his content is indexed and heavily referred to.

Can you provide sample data for testing? Sensitive information can be removed in advance. What kind of expected results do you expect? You can also show it with pictures or Excel. I look forward to your response.
