Show current date in slicer

Hi,

I want to show curernt date in date slicer whenever i open report and same when i open in power bi service current date should display. Please help I  have attached screen shot for refrence.

You can use a function for that procedure.

Hi @Anonymous ,

There is no direct way that you can set current date/ maximum date to your slicer always

 

Instead You will have to assign your current data function to a text item and then that text item should be always selected to keep selecting the current date

 

Draw inspirations from the video in the below link for achieving this

In that Video, instead of a Max Date you should have current date.

I have used but this will not work in my current slicer. is there any workaound for this.

@Anonymous , I doubt there is a workaround for range based slicer, You can log an idea  https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/

@Anonymous , You need use a work around to have column like this and save that on today

Date Type = SWITCH(TRUE(),'Date'[Date]=TODAY(),"Today"
,'Date'[Date]=TODAY()-1,"Yesterday"
,'Date'[Date]&"")
