Show columns from one table based on the month filter

Hello together, 

i need a simple measure but i couldnt find a solution. So i hope i can find here some help 🙂 

I have the following matrix that is filtered based on a selected month (Filtered by March). 

Project	Filtered Month	YTD
- Game Development	1000	3000
- Programming	500	1500

Now i have the following table 

Project	M1	M2	M3	M4	M5	M6	M7	M8	M9
Game Development	1000	1000	1000	1000	1000	1000	1000	1000	1000

I would like to create the measure so that when i choose in the date filter "March" it should show the values from "M3". 
January = M1
Februar = M2 

March = M3 

... 

Has anyone an idea?

@Krexx the best advise here is:

- unpivot your table in the Power Query

- convert M? column to a date column, which you can easily do by extracting the number from the column name and convert it to date by using #date(2020,[Extract Number], 1)
