I am trying to head off a difficult issue.
I need to provide a table of deliveries in the report
Source data below
Product ID Delivery Date Customer Amount
1 1 Jan 2023 Amber 1
2 1 Jan 2023 Fred 2
2 1 Jan 2023 Fred 2
What the customer wants to see
Product ID Delivery Date Customer Amount
1 1 Jan 2023 Amber 1
2 1 Jan 2023 Fred 2
2 1 Jan 2023 Fred 2
What Power BI shows if you create a measure called amount measure which is sum of Amount
Product ID Delivery Date Customer Amount Measure
1 1 Jan 2023 Amber 1
2 1 Jan 2023 Fred 4
What Power BI shows if you just use the column Amount from the original tablesum of Amount
Product ID Delivery Date Customer Amount
1 1 Jan 2023 Amber 1
2 1 Jan 2023 Fred 2
Desired result is
Product ID Delivery Date Customer Amount
1 1 Jan 2023 Amber 1
2 1 Jan 2023 Fred 2
2 1 Jan 2023 Fred 2
Thanks
sad but true. It is going to be great when the users realise the best solution is to add an index field, make the field very narrow.
Another bodge as Power BI wont do what it could.
😞
Add an index column to make each row unique and prevent Power BI from aggregating them.
