I want to be able to upload my report onto SharePoint and have anyone else who downloads/opens it in app be able to refresh the data. It has been published to the web version, however refreshing on there is not possible due to some gateway connection issues with the data sources.
The main data sources all of my reports use are SharePoint Excel files, SQL server, MySQL server. I want to save all of the data source credentials I already have set up for the file and have anyone else who opens it, be able to manipulate the dashboard with those credentials. Currently, for each user that want to be able to access the report, I have had to manually re-configure the permissions on their downloaded version of the file.
Hi, @sashad
To allow anyone who downloads or opens a report in SharePoint to refresh the data, you can use stored credentials for the data source, you can check the following link:
This should allow anyone who opens the report to be able to manipulate the dashboard with the stored credentials, eliminating the need for you to manually re-configure the permissions on their downloaded version of the file. Please ensure that you have the necessary permissions to share these credentials and that doing so complies with your organization’s security policies.
