Sharing powerbi report in Report Server/PowerBI services with RLS with Non-Pro Users

Hi team,

I have created a powerbi report which has employee level information with below specifications:

1.  It has Row Level Security enabled as no employee should see other employees data

2.  Direct Query connection to Oracle Database

we would like to share this report with to each and everyone within the organisation.

How do I make it possible? We cant have prolicense for all users in the organisation.

Any guidance please.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You need a Power BI Pro license and the recipients also need Power BI Pro licenses when you share the report or dashboard with them. Unless the the content is in a Premium capacity, then the pro license  is no longer necessary. You can review the solution in the following threads, hope they can help you resolve your problem.

@Anonymous , then you might have to consider a license for embedded power bi-  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embedded/embedding

There you can create own security layer on a portal
