Sharing dashboards
I am trying to share dashboards and learn about Power BI's sharing capabilities.
It looks like with pro you can export to PPT but the output is a PNG file so often the files are cut off or the scroll bar is in a odd spot.
For sharing via publisher, no one can view anything unless you have Power BI Pro which costs money even if you have an MSFT license correct? I am not sure how Power BI can be so much cheaper if every user has to have Pro to share or view a shared report..
To share the report/ dashboard with others using the inbuilt share, the receipient should have Pro to access the shared content.
As a workaround you can embed the report into a web page and share it amoung users. You have to take care of the security aspect of the shared page as anyone with the URL can access the embedded report.
