Sharing Power Bi table in different workspaces
A different team within an organization has a dataset that we would like to use. I was given access to their workspace and I created a dataflow to add that dataset to my teams workspace. I can see the dataset in our own workspace but my coworkers cannot. I've tried changing credentials and privacy settings but it still does't show.
Here is my view:
Theis is my coworkers view
He is an admin within this workspace. My assumption is they cannot see it because they don't have access to the other teams workspace. How can I make it availabe for my coworkers without giving them all access to the other teams workspace?

Thank you for being part of the Microsoft Fabric Community.Yes you're right, your coworkers can't access the dataset because they don't have the required permissions in the original workspace where the data is hosted. Simply creating a dataflow in your team's workspace doesn't automatically provide them access, unless they also have the appropriate rights in the source workspace.
To share the dataset with your team without giving them full access to the other workspace, consider the following options:

Grant Direct Access to the Dataset

Distribute the Dataset via a Power BI App
-
Build a Shared Semantic Model in Your Workspace

and I created a dataflow to add that dataset to my teams workspace.What is preventing you from accessing their semantic model directly? Using a dataflow to extract data from a semantic model is a (giant) step back.
This may be possible but I've had struggles gaining access to the data. Our IT can be difficult in giving query access to data that our team accesses daily via software. This other team had already gone through the proper hoops to give it. Funnily enough our IT didn't doesn't have issues if we just utilize the data this team already gathers.
