Sharepoint issue

Hi Team,

 

 

https://xxxx-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/r/personal/xxxxxxxxxxxx_com/Documents/Documents/Doc_contry.xlsx?d=w1b954b39842a414abdc7658469b0a534&csf=1&web=1&e=6lM8nM

Above is the link when I say copy link

 

I tried all 3 options in power BI desktop, sharepoint list, sharepoint online list, sharepoint folder.

its giving error

""We encountered an error when trying to connect 

Details: "The input URL is invalid. Please provide a URL to the root of a SharePoint site, or to the service document or entity of its OData feed (with no query or fragment part)." ""

 

Please let me know which option to select.

Step 1: Open your excel file in Excel App

Step 2: Copy Path 

From Excel App Click File -> Info -> Copy Path

Step 3: Get Data in Power BI Desktop 

Get Data -> Web -> Pest here 

Note: You need to remove ?web=1 after the name of the file

Now you are ready to load data from sharepoint.

From Excel App Click File -> Info -> Copy Path

Get Data -> Web -> Pest here 

Note: You need to remove ?web=1 after the name of the file

Now you are ready to load data from sharepoint.

I normally use SharePoint Folder connector.

For the link, paste the URL up to

https://xxxx-my.sharepoint.com/personal/.../Documents/Documents.

This will show you all files in that folder/library. Then filter down to Doc_contry.xlsx and expand into sheets/tables as usual.

Hello,

 

You may connect to the SharePoint online data using SharePoint folder connector in Power BI Desktop, use the URL below and use organizational account method. 

 

https://xxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/<sitename>

 

Then you have to navigate to find your files (you can apply some filter to find more easily)
