Hi All
I can access the sharepoint site (url) but when i click on get data and select either the hsarepoint folder or the ODatafeed i get an access denied error. Please advice.
Thanks
Hi @Anonymous ,
Try the following method:
1. If your site is Office365, please enter the organizational credential using the third option in the below screenshot. If your site is on-premise, use Windows credentials as you mentioned. In addition, make sure that you use the latest version of Power BI Desktop.
2. Create a new pbix file and clear the Permission the data source of SharePoint you used before under Edit Queries>> Data source setting>>Global Permissions>> find the Sharepoint source >> Clear Permissions.

Thanks V-joesh-msft,
I can access the site now , but not what i wanted . I am getting list of projects and loading the data into power bi desktop , publish it to the service. When i make changes in sharepoint list like add a new name, i need to come into the desktop refresh and republish it for me to see the changes in the power bi service, the users arenot happy and there is a way to create the report directly in power bi service?
Thanks
Hi @Anonymous ,
You can connect to SharePoint directly in the service, please select Get Data in the lower right corner:
