Hi MS Power BI gurus,
since I am quite new to the topic of MS Power BI (former user of Oracle BI EE), I was wondering, if it is possible to change the format of a measure / attribute / KPI within a shared dataset within Power BI Desktop?
Example
Current state of "Date": DD.MM.YYYY
Change it to: DD-MM-YYYY
Usually, I would do all the formating within the "data layer" when creating a new report from scratch but when using a published dataset I am not able to see this section.
Maybe someone could share some information.
Best regards and thanks in advance
Carsten

Hi @Raptor ,
You can download the pbix file from the report page in Power BI Service, open the downloaded pbix in Power BI Desktop , then format the date measure like DAX formula date = FORMAT(Table1[Date],"DD-MM-YYYY"), and then republish again.
Best Regards,
Amy

It is somehow a solution but did not really anwser my question, since I did not want to use the report (from Poweer BI service) itself but a dataset which is gained using MS Power BI Desktop.
Anyway, thanks for your help.
