Shared Dataset vs Dataflow

Hi Community !!!

I am new to Shared Dataset and Dataflows. I have gone through the official documentation and RADACAD articles also . But In which cases we need to prefer one over other like Shared Dataset or Dataflows?

Also It is said that anything we do with power query can be inherited only with Dataflows but  Transformation with Power Query also inherited to in the Shared Dataset? So I am confused which when to choose.

Thanks
