Hello @rajasekaro
Correct URL format for SharePoint Folder connection in Power BI:
When using SharePoint Folder in Power BI:
You must use the root site URL only, like
https://yourcompany.sharepoint.com/sites/YourSiteName
Do NOT include
/Shared Documents/...
A specific file name
Any query parameters (?) or fragments (#)
Thanks
If this solution helps, please accept it and give a kudos (Like), it would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @rajasekaro
You're seeing this error because the SharePoint URL you entered is incorrect.
To fix that, Use the site root URL only.
Example: https://yourdomain.sharepoint.com/sites/sitename
Don't use: file URLs or ones with /Documents or ?query
Steps to connect SharePoint in Power BI:
Make sure you have access to the site. If needed, re-enter your login under Data Source Settings.
Happy to help!

@rajasekaro - Here's the solution:
You should open the Sharepoint Excel file in the desktop app, and navigate to File > Info. Once there you will see a button called "Copy path".
Click that, and then you'll paste that link into Power BI.
One more step, delete ?web=1 from the end and you should be left with a link that ends .xlsx
