Shape map preview killed Azure Filled maps

Hi all

 

I am setting up a filled map via the Azure visualisation, which was working perfectly until I tried the preview version of the Shape map (activated via options + preview features).  Now my previously working visualisations are no longer working (Azure only - while the Filled Map standard visualisation is working).

 

Not sure what process I have killed by activating the preview version of shape map - I have reinstalled Power BI desktop and have tried to rebuild one of the visualisations on the new install - nothing appears to be working - I have also deactivated the preview version of the shape map.

 

Does anyone know how I can get the original Azure visualisation working again?

    Ok so an update - I am visualising data via country, using a filled map - previously I could use the country name (with the country column categorisation) - now when I switch to ISO 3 letter country code, PowerBI recognises most of the countries - with some errors, however, it no longer recognises the country name column.  Strange behavior

    My Azure Maps has stopped working with countries. It used to happily show filled views of every country, with a legend field with a country rating.

    Now it shows only Spain. Nowhere else.

    For clarification: I am not in Spain.

    I don't know if it's related to the shape map visual; as far as I am aware I've not changed anything except kept the service and desktop up-to-date.
