Shape map does not display the map
Hi there,
I am trying to use topojson file as a shape map file in the 'shape map' visual. My topojson file has WGS84 coordinates. I got a CSV file and it has got the ZoneID. I am dragging ZoneID to the 'Location' field and adding topojson file from add map option. However, it does not produce the image. Instead, it produces the rectangle as shown in the picture.
Could anyone help me where I made the mistake? Topojson and csv file can be download from here
something's off with your topojson file. I ran it through Mapshaper and simplified it. That showed the shapes correctly. See if you can figure out the rest of the attributes.

lbendlin Thanks for your help. It worked. Could you please share what did you similify in the topojson file for future?
littlemojopuppy , Zone ID represents the id of each zone created in Topojson file. My understanding is that you can use any type of data category (not necessarily always lat long or address related) as long as it is mapped with the topojson map keys. For example, I watched the video about shapefile and the author used 'Constituency ID' in the location column of the shape map and it works fine. 'Constituency ID' has 'Uncategorized' Data category.

Zone...??? What does that field represent?
In order for Power BI to know that something is geography, you have to specify that. Select the Zone field and on the ribbon under Column Tools there is a section for Data Category. Chose the appropriate geography classification for it.
