Shape Map Help - Random Outcome

Hi guys,

New to this forum and PowerBI so please be patient Smiley Tongue

I've been trying to convert my SHP file into TopoJSON using GeoData Converter >> https://mygeodata.cloud/converter/shp-to-topojson

Result renders well on their website previewer:

Wales_TopoJSON.PNG

But when I use this within PowerBI it renders like this:

PowerBI_Outcome.PNG

Where have these random lines come from!? It seems like it's rendering each polygon to a specifc point. The data binds perfectly with the map and it all works the way I want it to. Just need to remove these lines.

I've tried the same file in R using Leaflet and it renders perfectly.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi @jayshep

A customer of mine had a very similar problem. That point in the corner is a value from your file that the converter has not rendered correctly. Try using this converter instead, it should work. Let me know how you get it it would be interesting to know if it works for you also.

Hi @shebr,

@jayshep

Hi @jayshep

Can you send me a screenshot of the settings you've used for the shapemap?

Also, if you select the item thats in the corner, does that filter any other tables on the page? Try that and see if there is any items that are filtering.

Thanks
